Merlock is a Progressive/Thrash Metal act based in Sri Lanka formed in the latter part of 2005. The band started out as a trio and they were then known as LEECH, with Tharindu Jayasingha on Drums, Sajith Ranasingha on Guitar and Dumidu Handakumbura on bass guitar and vocals. in 2007 the band went through many changes with one being the addition of a 4th member (Niroshan De Costa) and the bands name was also changed to MERLOCK.
Merlock addresses themes of human nature and war emphasizing on the darker side of humanity. The band released an EP in 2007 titled "Crimson Skies" which was warmly welcomed by metal heads in the country.
The current lineup now stands at.

Sajith Ranasigha – Rhythm
