Actually the satanic bible in my opinion is a parody of the bible . . .what made LaVey to write this is the experiences he had in his childhood and his dejection about the activities of the church. I'm no satanist . . .but this is a work of art which can be appreciated.

Actually if alternative subcultures were nonexisitent . . the sucide rates will be much higher. Alternative cultures help to keep the balance of the society and prevent rupture of the "normal" society by let's say mass suicide due to utter depression.
