mostly when ppl get rap into rock it is mostly for selling purposes which is way off the gutter that's not the point of metal but that's what bands like linking park do..they think about what would make a better market and go with it

i guess it depends on the people ..i can listen to same band for months without getting bored ..ive been listening to same type of music for sometime now and i will move on to different sub genre in time..it always happens

and for those who want something different and easy listening such music with elements of two or more genres are better..again that's a matter of opinion so i have nothing against mixing up genres lol i can stay away from them and you can listen to them..as simple as that
