exactly... and as for what i see is gothic and metal subcultures have turned to become the easy targets due to lack of understanding on these and because they look and sound gloomy and weird for one who is not in to them...i really doubt that a hand full of criticizers know what these subcultures are
one more thing >> things would have been easy to digest if people of SL get used to looking at things with an open mind. which i hardly see among us
and yeh giving a bit of thought on ya comment makes sense. its not just doom and goths. each and every subculture is getting the hit currently !

well, goths arnt exactly making it easy on them getting dressed up in all black like ninjas and wearing black eye shadow, spiked collars, studs, piercing and generally resembling a circus freak and what notexactly... and as for what i see is gothic and metal subcultures have turned to become the easy targets due to lack of understanding on these and because they look and sound gloomy and weird for one who is not in to them...i really doubt that a hand full of criticizers know what these subcultures are

Personally, I dont see the whole point in dressing up like that or being 'gansta' with baggy low jeans and making various hand gestures like you got epilepsy and talking with broken English that makes baba's English look good. I dont see what all that has to do with enjoying any particular genre of music.

atleast that how i see it. what matters to me is i don't tend to find fault in someone wearing baggy denims or ripped jeans although i'm kinda in to the darker explanation you've mentioned above 
and lol on the circus freak thing, with that comment of yours i think goths are the perfect example for everyone to NOT to judge someone by ones appearance which i believe is a wrong practice many of us follow
