degree required for freelancing ?

I have done some HTML, CSS , VB , SQL during my early 20's and I thought I would learn again and start freelancing to earn some extra cash. This is more of a hobby right now . I have a very stable day job.

I started learning python at solo learn and planning to do some courses at Udemy.(100 day bootcamp - dr angela yu) Do I need to invest in a Degree ( at least BIT) to find some freelancing jobs ? I have a management degree but its not related to IT .

Normally they don't check certificates, so it depends on the client.
