Wow at least we have one happy customer for Dialog WIMAX here I know the service is good but they have to improve a lot. infact a guy from the broad band technical center called me up today and he said "Machang Ape Custommers la Goda Denekuta Oka una iiyethe he said sorry sir ........ dannang me prashne hari poddak check karala ballanna.

SLT ADSL connection is more reliable than dialog WIMAX
dialog WIMAX is shit
It has many connection issues , DNS issues, username/password authentication issues , more and more errors on there System
It,s not a reliable connection so dont go for a dialog WI-MAX connection

Hi Guys/Girls,

Listn to my Story............. I was a happy 512/128 SLT ADSL user until my company requested me to go for a Dialog WIMAX Broadband connection.

Apperently I applied for Dialog Broadband (2Mbps plan with a Static IP) connection and as they promissed the Dialog WIMAX team (Which is an out sourced company called MASS or something) came to my residence and after 4~5 hours they'managed to find the "Base Station" th've been looking for. But they had to drill a hole on my roof (Actually end of the sheet) after few hours they completed the hardest part of the job and did the cabling. Finally they fixed it to my computer and I was amazed by the speed test.



But After few days my happiness started melting as the maximum attainable speeds went down



I made a call to the call centre and they said the speed which i'm getting is acceptable. so funny

Today morning when I tried to start working I couldn't log in to internet as the connection was not authenticating.. So I rang up Broadband Help Desk and logged a complain after 4~5 hours they rang me up and said that they had a problem yesterday and not its sorted....

Wonder Dialog is gonna improve the service?

I'm back on Dialog WIMAX... This time I'm getting intermitent dropouts but the connection looks OK to me exept for the slightly slower speeds...

Here is my experience today. I was working online and halfway through I got disconnected. I tried everything possible without any success.

1. Remote computer did not respond
2. User name Verification Failure
3. Link to Dialog Failed Reconnect Pending
4. TCP/IP CP Reported Error
5. Remote Computer did not Respond in a timely Manner (WTF )

Finally I called the Broadband Call center and they logged a fault.. after 2~3 Hours a technician just rang me up and said "THESE DAYS THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BASE STATIONS" I'm Dissapointed........

Packet loss issue related to network issue, SLT network always experiencing this packet loss issue,

Of cause there is an another word “request time outs”

Please see the below test results, I am sending 500 packets to www.google.lk and the Success rate is “96 percent”, most of the time this is going to worse after 12pm “90 percent” good thing is WiMAX network is fine, there is no packet loss issue. I will show you some results once my friends WiMAX is up oo: because currently it is down)

Hay Tj,

Dialog people even called you and advice you that they experiencing issue with base station!!!

If it is an ADSL issue SLT crazy support people doesn’t even know that there is an issue lol

Also SLT Engineers are like that too, what I can guess is they don’t have much experiences on ISP sector or they don't like to provide much information to the end user
