Machang the ISP is dependent on the technology. So pointless comparing ISP's alone, unless your comparing similar technologies of ISP's.

Also define "we already know SLT IB/w".. where have they published it? How would you know this unless you work for them? I dunno the Dialog Bandwidth coz I don't work for them.

Don't even think about comparing Dialog with SLT on ISP wise. I think here we are comparing the broadband services by our ISPs. For me the ultimate result of a broadband service should be a reliable, speed and unlimited connection for a affordable price.

This is completely true. SLT ADSL is for a realiable speed and unlimited connection.

Dialog HSDPA is more about giving the mobility to internet + high speed connection. But giving mobility comes with a cost because it means, that the speed is not guaranteed.

Hari umba speed gana dannawanam, umba ISP ekaka wada karalath thiyenawanam, kiyapan slt 512kbps speed eken umba kawada hari 512kbps, download karala thiyenawada???

PS. Slt ADSL rocks, unlimited bandwidth and everything... But I use Dialog HSPA connection also. And its really great too, although the best speed I've gotten is closer to 600 Kilo Bytes/sec.....

download around 58 kB/s, nearly 480kbps

Dont lie machan, the best speed you can get is 64Kbps. But some part of the bandwidth is taken for packet headers... etc. So you can not get a 64KBps(512Kbps) speed. Best you'll get is closer to 58KBps. So yeah, you dont know much about it, from what I can see......

It's a simple fact that, we all like to think we have the *best* connection. Just that we don't realize that while it may be the *best* for us, others might have other needs, therefore prefer other connections. Just need to learn to respect everyones choice, rather than forcing your own. :-)

Reliable in what sense machan? If you are talking about constant download speed. No.
But if you are talking about the mobile internet, yes.. As I said before, dialog HSDPA is not about a constant speed. Its about giving a high speed connection and mobile internet.

You keep telling that dialog is not giving the 7.2Mbps speed. And if that's what you care about, then you are correct, No need to argue more about it. No internet provider can give the promised speed.

SLT ADSL it differs from about 5-10 %. Dialog HSDPA more than 35%. But that doesnt make one good and other bad. Because the connections are intended for different segments.

Dialog - mobile internet with high speed
SLT ADSL - Constant download speed with no download limit.
