I THINK IN SL MOST OF THE GUYS ARE USING CUBASE AND NUENDO , REASON...I THINK OTHER THAN THAT THE MOST POPULAR ONES ARE PROTOOLS 8 AND LOGIC PRO.. BUT PROTOOLS DOSENT RUN WITHOUT THE DEDICATED DIGI DESIGN HARDWARE AND LOGIC PRO 8 ONLY WORKS ON MAC OSX... SO MAY BE THATS WHY THESE DAW'S ARE NOT SO POPULAR IN SL....

oh yeah n u need a gud knowledge in dat software men... i mean protools... it's so hard as i heard.... for us we(F.R.I.E.N.D.S)only use cuecase .... and with lots of lots of VSTis

well i have been using protools for sometime now people think its dificult becoz it dosent have the fancy looks to its GUI like other daws but it has been very simple to use ones u set it up it works perfect ...but now i dont use protools anymore coz i have moved to mac and i use logic pro 8 , logic comes with over 30gig of loops and virtual instruments with 7 dvd's u have everything u need to make music...and also i use reason and have few more extra refills like reason pianos and RDK2 MOTIF refills...i have use cubase before its good for midi and audio production..protools have been lacking in midi area but have overcome that issu in there new release protools 8.

actually hv r doing our things(composing,mixing,mastering) in a home studio.... and only for recording we go to intenze's studio....
for the moment v hv a nrml core 2 duo machine with a alesis sound card.. so will it b able to run protools ?????
cuz we wont hesitate to give it a try

MIDI witharai Nuendo? Nuendo wala Audio, Video, MIDI okkoma puluwan..

okay but what i meant was that yours is better than the average home studio setup..post some pics if you can..
Anyway my setup(Im not even sure if u can call it that) sucks big time compared to yours. Im just using a M-audio 61es, A Pair of KRKs, Tapco Mixer, ART TubeMP and a Audiophile192. An AT2020 is on the way.

Ya Ya.. but Nuendo/Cubase walata wada Reason use kalama lesie.
I Agree with u, I also use Sample Tank, Swar Plug, Real Guitar... & many more VST with Cubase.
Cubase 4 or 5 Thiyenawa nam wade lesie. (Steinberg HALion) Thiyenawane..
