Do not PANIC Oracle is going to introduce a new exam called SCJP plus with the release of new JDK 7 (most proberbly on this year). This exam is different and based on real time problem scenarios no pre-made question which means that you have to figure out the solution and suggest it(yeah you need to code). That will ultimately proves that your good at Java.

And much more Oracle introduced some new beta exams for Java EE 6 (Enterprise Edition)

DO NOT confused or panic Oracle is highly promoting Sun certifications.

Don't get caught by cunning business men's words. Get a valid and world wide industrial recognized qualification.

Don't worry about anything because Oracle bought Sun Corporation. So everything you guys did in the past should be valid.
