set up a phishing site wnt take 5 mins. .
1. For sites such as Facebook/yahoo /etc create a bookmark for the log-in page, or type the URL directly into the browser address bar;
2. Don’t click on links in e-mails/ chat windows / messages;
3. Only type in confidential data on a secure web site; double chk the url
4. Look for giveaway signs of phishing e-mails:
5. If it’s not addressed to you personally; If you’re not the only recipient; If there are spelling mistakes, poor grammar or syntax or other clumsy use of language.
6 Install Internet security software and keep anti-virus updated; Install security patches;
7. Be wary of unsolicited e-mail or IM messages;
8. Be careful about logging in with Administrator rights;
9 Backup your data.
set up security questions / alternate email correctly . . incase u will b able 2 get back ur account ..
[desktop phishing will bypass those methods . . even if u type a url correcty it will rederect u to the phishing page ! ! !]
