I got a new notebook pc. It came with original vista and recovery partition. I want to install windows 7. What is the best way to do it? I feel guilty of giving up a fully registered vista. Can i install 7 in a separate partition? Will this slow down the pc? if something goes wrong can i revert back to original vista with the available recovery partition?

you can install 7 on a separate partition it won't slow down the computer !
i'm using 7 + xp
