DVD Ripping To avi using Divx...Pro Style

just google it ppl u dont need some smart ass to teach u this its actually very simple, and experienced video rippers don't use automated tools like Dr Divx or Auto GK they use manual methods, custom quantiser matrixes, custom Avi synth scripts and Virtual dub filters, if u have enough brain power any one can learn how to encode a DVD to a smaller file with fine quality, and another thing, DIVX is Inferrior to XVID and x264 is currently the best way to encode movies

set output file size to 700MB
convert.

This is it Guys ...i'm not gonna post it coz this is not the way to share things.....
I like to help and i am already creating a pdf file so that i can upload it...[ I have schoolwork too guys]..........
Gordianknot is not proffesional..[it's autorip]...I already Know How to rip from GN..
But That is not the way.....I Didn't try to show off or any thing but i wanted to post it....Check the Files that you are downloading ,they are not ripped by GN....
I ripped many DVD's Including Hindi DVD's...by my way....But you can't get a download quality from GN.........
There is a way using divx codec correctly.....
I am a V.P of a company called SIRUS Entertaintment......
Me and my partner spent days and nights testing various ways .....
But When him and i Succeeded we didn't have internet conectivity...ethier...
But we Spent hours in Internet cafe's....

I dl and checked your video, quality was good, no problem in that.

But as it seems the length of the sample video you gave is 1minute 08 seconds.
so that means almost a 1 minute.

so if we do the calculations, in your method 1min of vid = 20MB (almost)

if we take a film of about 2 hours, that means 120 minutes, so its like = 120 * 20 MB = 2400 MB

But i'm sure you can get a very decent (if not great) quality encode @ 2.4GB even if you used Auto GK. (If you used an original DVD movie as the source)

But anyway as you're saying if the source video was 120MB, and now its 20MB that means about 1/6 of the file size.

If we take that into account that means a DVD video of 4700 (if we take the max size on DVD5) 4700/6 = 783MB so thats good.

so anyway bottom line is its good if you like to share the tools/methods with all of us because there might be people here who can get in and improve the methods , but its up to you to choose. No Stress.
