Well SATA standard is plug and play. If you need to use something external, basically get a power line + a long SATA cable out of the PC. It will work as a USB drive, just a bit hard to connect

What I do is I use my external PC power adapter with the SATA cable attached to the 2nd hard drive slot in my laptop. Or if you are so desperate, get a USB to SATA/IDE/miniIDE adapter.

Just trying to help you out cuz there aren't any resellers that I know of selling these cables. Thats all you will ever get from me.
