There was a huge uproar a couple of months ago when Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan was detained at the Newark airport for hours together. The incident drew mixed reactions from the people following Shahrukh’s allegation that he was discriminated because of his surname Khan. Shahid Kapoor faced a similar incident recently.
He spent about 90 minutes at the New York airport while the authorities grilled his spotboy Mohammed Manjoor Allam, who has been taking care of him since childhood. Though they have travelled extensively to many countries together, Allam was pulled up for questioning at the New York Airport, as his name needed special clearance.
Sources said that Shahid stayed with his spotboy through the questioning. He looked nervous, as he is not fluent in English. He was let off after nearly 90 minutes of detention but the authorities didn’t give any reason why he was pulled up for special interrogation.

Shah Rukh confirmed it and said, “Yes, an Australian lady buys a little land on the moon for me every year on my birthday. She has been buying it for a while now and I get these certificates from the Lunar Republic Society.”
The lady has already met the actor and keeps him sending mails. “She writes me colourful emails (in the sense one line is red, one is blue and so on). I feel blessed to have the love of so many people worldwide,” adds the star.
Ask the Shah Rukh about what other special gifts he has received on his birthdaythis year? “One has bought me land in Scotland. Karan Johar gave me a laptop bag and a pair of very expensive shoes. My children are making something for me that will come over the weekend. Parmeshwar Godrej sent me a gift. She does that each year. I’m accepting gifts till this weekend, so all of you who wish to give me something can do so till Sunday,” adds the witty actor.

Shah Rukh turning 44 today will be attending a private party thrown by wife Gauri Khan and best friend Karan Johar. The party will be attended by his regular guests Juhi and Jai Mehta, Arjun and Mehr Rampal, Chunky and Bhavna Panday, Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and Kajal Anand.
