yes machan.they asked at least 2 years of experience for it. pissu hadenawa;)
to be honest machan ur lucky to get away with two. That seems like a managers salary to me. To become a manager in an average company(a normal multi-national company) starting from a software engineer(that is no extra qualification like CIM or CIMA or any management related studying) it would at least take u 5-6 years.

I think in Sri Lanka this is a good salary machang for a SW Engineer.

But I'm pretty sure they must be asking a full set of qualifications and experience.

And I'm again pretty sure that this is a foreign company

Because $1,600 is the very basic salary in here (Australia.) Even a full time typist or a cleaner can earn more than that for a month :)

So that's why people outsource to Sri Lanka :D

Anyway get qualified and stay in touch ;) I'm planning to have my own company in Sri lanka in another 5 - 6 years of time... (Ofcause with salaries much better than that ;))

     hey it's better to be a cleaner or something in aussiene:lol:  what are the qualifications do i need? sira its better coz i dont need to spend my valueble time for the studies:P:lol:

he he. I'll mark ur last words bro ;) will keep that in mind ;)

need to ask you something, is it soo... much difficult for a commerce student(AL) to follow an IT degree??

in the foundation course, do they give us the whole knowledge about maths(that is needed)?? then will it be easy to follow the degree?? (in SLIIT)

hmm. im dnt knw for sure. but i think they give the necessary pre requisite knowladge at the foundation level ( since not only people did Maths do SLIIT degree ne)

but even for any IT degree i dnt think you require higher maths related stuff other than probability and statistics, which i think commerce guys are also familiar with.

mm,I am thinking of going into Network Engineering field as many my other geeky friends have entered.networking involves some hardware so I'm being feeling a liking to it.The Network engineering degrees are so much different (as I feel)among various institutes. What do you guys think which should I have to be a computer networking engineer. Please not a Networking but Computer Networking.
