මේ නුල දැම්මේ එල කිරි එකේ android phone තියෙන ඔක්කොටම. ඔය ගොල්ලන්ගේ phone හෙම root කරන්න අසයි නම් custom ROM හෙම දාන්න ඕනේ නම් මෙන්න මේ නුලේ post එකක් දන්න.

මේක කර ගෙන යන්න මට NINJAY සහෝදරයා තමා අදහස දුන්නේ. අපි බලමු මුලින්ම මොකක්ද මේ ROOT කරනවා කියල කියන්නේ.

Android කියන්නෙ Mobile phones වලට තියෙන operating system (OS) එකක්. දැනට ලෝකයෙ ගොඩක් popular උන Mobile OS එක කියල කියන්න පුලුවන්. Android කියන්නෙ Google සමාගමට අයිති එකක්. 2005 තමයි Google සමාගම Android OS එක මිලට ගත්තෙ. Android OS එක තනිකරම හදල තියෙන්නෙ Linux Kernel එක පාවිච්චි කරල.

What is Rooting ?

Rooting is a process that allows users of mobile phones and other devices running the Android operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's Linux subsystem with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and manufacturers put on some devices. It is analogous to jailbreaking on devices running the Apple iOS operating system.

Disclaimer: Rooting your device will void its warranty. In addition, performing the rooting procedure incorrectly may have unexpected consequences. Please follow this guide at your own risk. AddictiveTips will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.


I am going to show how to Root few of the famous devices we have at the moment. But if you device is not in these posts then please let us know.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 using CFROOT. You can follow the link for a detail tutorial or else you can follow this simple guide

Here's what you need to download first [Odin]

1. Download this program and extract it to where ever you like.
2. Now check you can go in to the phones download mode.
3. Power off the device. Hold Vol down + Home + Power then you should see something like this.

Press voulme up again and then you see this.

if you can do this which means you're are ready to root.

4. Now download the appropriate CFRoot file for you phone.
5. How do I choose the correct CFRoot for my phone.
a. power up the phone.
b. Go to setting about phone. Then check build number and kernel version.

c. that's your build number in this pic it is XWKF1

6. List of CF ROOT files should be in this thread

7. After you find the correct CF ROOT we can start the rooting process.

8. Put you phone to download mode and connect it to your pc.

9. RUN Odin and you should see somthing like this.

10. If you don't see this then you need to install Samsung kies for samsung android USB drivers.

11. Now click on PDA button and select the CFROOT .tar File. And DO NOT tick any check boxes. It should check reboot and reset time as in the picture above that's all. Now hit the start button.

12. When reboot you should see a yellow triangle which means you're running a custom kernel and you have root. When the device is booted up you should find an app call SuperUSer in your app list.

13. I'll show you how to remove the Yellow Triangle later. This won't cause you any problems though.

Coming up Xperia X8 rooting guide

1. Here what you need to download first Rooting Pack

2. Turn you phone on and got to settings->applications-> enable unknown sources. Then Enable USB debugging.

3. Now Connect your phone to the PC and select charge phone when your phone prompts you. Do not mount as a storage device. Just select Charging mode.

4. Extract rooting pack and go into the SuperOneClick folder and run Superoneclick.exe and then Hit the Root button. That's all you have to do

5. When it's done you should see something like this.

6. Reboot the phone and you should find SuperUser app in the app list. Now you can install apps which requires root access such as Adfree or Titanium backup.

How to root HTC desire

1. Go ahead and download UnRevoked

2. Make sure you don't have HTC sync installed on your PC if you have remove it first.

3. Now on your phone go to settings applications development then enable usb Debugging

4. Run the downloaded EXE file and when it says waiting for device plug your phone in via USB cable.

5. Follow the instructions in the app and your device will be rooted with in mins
