i got discuss, plenty giant gurami (big ones), cat fish (big ones), calf, discuss small ones etc. but in sri lanka.

yeah, i like discus very much but they are very expensive and too hard, tetra all species are not that sensitive, only neon, glow light and few other. you can easily keep silver dollar, black and white tetras, silver tipped tetra, penguin tetra, etc. they are very community fish and nice to see.

pirana is a agressive flesh eater. keep safe. i know it is a very nice fish. same as silver dollar. also fall in to tetra family.

that is the thing we rare these many kind of fish. but we do not know what are the real names of those fish.

also we do not get a chance to learn much abt them. even buy a book many books say different things.

what should we do to get more knowledge?

there are lot of informstion in internet. for tetras, there are lot. information in wikipiedia is dependable. there are some local books in good aquariums, i cant tell you the names openly here. i will pm tomorrow if you want to know
