- Run the updater and let it verify your installation, if any files aren't what it expects it'll alert you.
- Once the files are verified the updater will contact the update server and offer to download the latest version.
- After the update files have been downloaded the updater will make backups of certain files it needs to modify.
MAKE SURE YOU DON'T REMOVE THESE BACKUPS - They'll be needed for you to update to later ElDewrito versions.
Updater backup files will be stored in a new folder inside your Halo Online directory, under _dewbackup.
- Once all the files have been downloaded and patched you can close the updater and run eldorado.exe to start Halo Online!
If you want to reupload ElDewrito anywhere please only reupload the updater and config file, along with this readme.

To make use of the system link multiplayer online you'll need to download a virtual LAN application, the ElDewrito developers recommend Evolve (http://www.evolvehq.com/)
If you use Evolve you should join the Halo Online evolve group! We're at https://www.evolvehq.com/groups/halo-online
For those unfamiliar with Halo 3 accessing system link is easy:
- Choose custom games from the main menu
- Press the "Network: Local" button and scroll to the System Link option
- Press right and choose either Host Game or Join Game, if hosting you'll be sent back to the lobby but the network will change to "Network: System Link"
- Wait for others to join your game, then start it and have fun!
- If joining a game you'll be shown a game browser where you can select games being hosted on your LAN/virtual LAN

This is something we hope to fix in a future release.
You can also change your controller sensitivity from the H3 pause menu (currently changing it in the HO settings doesn't work, but this may be fixed in a future release!)
