    TIPS

1 Be realistic about your language goals.Do not expect your English to be good as that of a native English speaker
soon after taking up the language. It takes a long time.

    2.speak a lot

3.Do not be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes are part of learning

6 Use simple sentences first..Then move onto complex sentences.

7.make an effort to your pronunciation

8.Try to say something extra..Do not limit yourself to one word answers

    9.Learn from your mistakes.

10.Accept English and all its uniqueness.English language has some strange rules. Reasoning sometimes doesn't work.

11 Let English be all around you.

12.Become a part of a English conversation group

    13.Read your favorite books.

    14. Try thinking in English

15 Practice paraphrasing. Try to rephrase what you hear

    16 Learn to listen better

17 substitute regular verbs with phrasal verbs.(grow--> grow up)

18 Learn from your favorite personality. Listen to this person

19 Don't focus on spoken English exclusively

20 Change the language on your phone/computer to English.

21 Learn some short natural responses

    22 Follow the news.

24 Record your speaking and have friends listen and comment on.

    25. Be ready for specific situations

26 you can practice English in front of a mirror. (to boost your confidence)

27 Learn to say things in your own way.

28 Retell a joke or a story in English

    29 Debate in English

    30 Don't rush your speak.

31 Try interrupting and interjecting politely

32 Understand there is always room for improvement

33 Speak the English you know

34 Be realistic..accent might always be evident in your speak

    Special thanks :

    its a start..
    thanks ayya
How would you speak here ? if you can add a portal to upload you're voice to it, would be ideal ;)

voice uploading might not work as we are hoping to speak in realtime with each other. You will need a platform which facilitate that .. Skype or discord will be appropriate. But discord has more functions. :)

First of all I’m really appreciate that you’ve mentioned my name in this valuable thread
As far as I’ve seen, your English is quite good. I’m still struggling to improve my speaking skill and I consider this thread will be a good platform for that

big round of applause for you 👏

yes But when your are speaking with a person in real time there is no time to think in sinhala and translate it into english.. So you have to learn to think in English ..Thats the hardest part.:)
