Well, it isnt a surprise, fuel gettin limited on a hi-perfomance machines

Just saw that somethin interesting is goin on here, anyway, here's wat i've got.

This is on an Intel C2D T5500 processor with 1G RAM

and the other is

on an Intel Celeron 2.4GHz processor with 768 RAM

By so many mate, read some online reviews. Everyone argues that the Core Duo works better on notebooks.

But in this review (http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2808&p=1), Merom is faster in every test compared to Yonah.

But Centrino is a platform. It's not an architecture. In fact, Core and Core 2 are not different architectures like Netburst and Core. Core 2 is an optimized Core.

holy moly, htat's not what i read on the same website about some weeks ago. Back then, according to them, only the C2D extreme could do it.

Yes. Intel has released the Centrino successor, code named Santa Rosa. It's a platform just like Centrino. CPU, chipset and motherboard all come under this platform.
