Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayaka has instructed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take disciplinary action against police officers who incorrectly reported that election propaganda including cutouts and banners had been removed in their respective divisions.
Although some police Officers In Charge (OIC) have reported that election propaganda had been removed in their respective areas the Additional Elections Commissioner has provided video evidence proving otherwise.
