    Jan 26, Vavuniya: Sri Lanka police arrested a second bus full of army deserters and retired army men traveling in Vavuniya on suspicion of inciting violence.

    A Marxist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) politician from the Gampaha District was among the arrested ex-military men, the police said.

    According to the police the arrested military men were planning to attack General Sarath Fonseka's supporters and blame it on the government. The men were arrested during a routine check, the police said.

    A special Army team and the Gokarelle police arrested the first bus of 20 ex-commandos and a retired colonel in Gokarelle yesterday.
