I can remember this kind of boosting for same issue has happened 7-8 years ago when Ashraff was da minister of ports authority. @ dat time the students of the these schools did some picketing and shouting and alll the bullshits...this is also can be consider as anther shit to indicate to people that these are the only "Buddhist" schools and all the other schools were established by none-patriotic missionary faster although it has become leading schools at the moment.

as an example when browsing the history from the website of one of the school mention on this banner. its says like this ...this college has been established by Nationalists by heart, from the beginning the schools has been threatened by missionary schools..etc

the main objective is to get promote the schools by doing this kind of bullshits.. a school can be get promoted by performances in academic or sports or even extra curricular activities without doing this kinda things.

I can predict in near future students starts to do picketing s on the streets with racist slogans... i can remembr some of slogans that they were made in just front of lady teachers ...."KONA NETHI UNG -APITA EPA"

Can't agree with you at all. These schools were established because of a specific reason, that time we were in a great risk because of the British. But now there is no difference in schools and no need to label any school as missionary or buddhist schools as all belongs to the government. But the thing is those schools however have been able to manage their reputation. So why is this blaming.

And also have to tell one last thing, there are schools only for muslims, i ve seen there are many. So whats the wrong of Buddhist specific schools?

Simple...because sinhalese are not just another Nation in Sri Lanka..Because they are the people who established the culture, soceity in this land everything in SL. They are the owners of this land. We need to behave as the owners of this land, very carefully ..if we also tried to to what ever the other nations do, whats the difference between Sinhalese and other nations???????????...My memory goes to such a significant statement has been made by Ven Soma Thero 5-6 years ago..

going in the wrong way...this is not about nationality, i talked here about few Buddhist colleges. Let them have their reputation as before also, no need to change that. If someone doesn't like or just can't accept who they are and what they have done in their past, how they have contributed to our mother land, then that one has a biiiiiggggg problem with those.
