Do you live there? If so have you seen it happening to others?

I have been there and even traffic stops are scary. I don't say it's entirely the fault of the Police. They have adapted to their crime rates and gun culture. Police especially defensive in the states where you can openly carry fire arms. We have to accept that lot of crimes happen among balck community and Polce have fed-up with them. However some white police officers in black neighbourhoods use excessive force on non-whites which is the case here. Pure;y based on the individual.

Meanwhile in Australia, this might be due to us having strict gun laws.

Even UK or any other European country is better than US in terms of Policing. In the US Police is too much dramatic maybe coz they watch all those action movies? :D I don't know. They are more than happy to throw you to the ground and cuff you if you misspelled a word or show a gesture which deemed dangerous to them. So does highway patrol. Pursuit happy. However there are good officers too who would drive you to a restaurant if you are new to the place.
