Islam is wrong. There. I said it. It's garbage. Anyone who believes in a guy who suddenly came onto the scene six centuries after the Incarnation saying everything that preceeded him was wrong suffers from intellectual myopia.
Take a look at the last part of that sentece. 600 years. Muhammad comes along and claims that the Three Persons that make up the Holy Trinity are wrong. He mocks the idea that Christ our Lord was not only a man, but God Himself. He scurrilously claims that the Apostles who followed Our Lord either purposely or ingnorantly perverted the message of Jesus. This man, with no connection to 1st Century Judea with utter presumption dismisses the Gospel accounts written by Jesus' contemporaries and instead claims to have exclusive knowledge of the proceedings that went on among the Jewish people.
I dismiss Islam because it is utterly divorced from reality; it is a religion of a demagogue. Islam is an affront to my God. It blasphemes my Savior, my Lord and my God. It is a doctrine which insults the Communion of Saints. It turns the Apostles into religious hucksters and liars.
But do you see Catholics, or Christians in general for that matter, going berserk when Muslims speak their blasphemous doctrines? Do we burn down Muslim embassies when Muslim apologists patronize us by saying they believe in a mere man named Isa, as though this should curry any respect?
Do you see us protesting when our brothers and sisters who convert to the True Faith are perescuted in Islamic countries with massacres and violence against Mosques?
No.
And why is that.
The answer is simple. Manuel II Paleologos summed it up: Islam brought...only evil and inhumanity.
Traditional Islam is an affront to God. Muhammad at best was a heresiarch and at worst an anti-Christ.
