ලොව සියලු දෙනාටම කිසිඳු බාධක අවහිරයකින් තොරව වේගවත් අන්තර්ජාල සම්බන්දතාවයක් ලබා දීමට මේ දිනවල ඇමරිකානු සමාගමක් සැරසේ. මෙම සේවාව සම්පුර්නයෙන්ම නොමිලයේ සැපයේ.
ඔවුන් මෙම සේවාව Outernet නමින් හඳුන්වා දී තිබේ. මේ සඳහා සම්පුර්ණ මුදල් ආයෝජන දායකත්වය සැපයෙන්නේ Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) නමැති ආයතනය වේ.
මෙහිදී කිසිම දේශ සිමා බාධකයකින් තොරව සහ කිසිදු වෙබ් අඩවි වරණයකින් තොරව සේවාවක් සැපයීම මෙම ව්යාපෘතියේ අරමුණ වේ. මෙම සේවාව මගින් අන්තර්ජාල විශාල වශයෙන් වරණයට ලක් කොට ඇති චීනය , උතුරු කොරියාව, මැදපෙරදිග ,සහ අනෙකුත් කොමුයුනිස්ට් රටවලට නම් මරු පහරක් එල්ලවනු නොවනුමානයි. ( ශ්රී ලංකාව ගැනනම් මා මෙහිදී සදහනක් කිරීම අවශ්ය නොවේ. )MDIF ආයතනය ප්රකාශ කොට සිටින්නේ ලෝක ජනගහනයෙන් 40%ක ප්රතිශතයකට තවමත් ඉන්ටර්නෙට් ප්රවේශ පහසුකම් නොමැති බව ය. අද ඈත දුෂ්කර ප්රදේශවලට අන්තර්ජාල සැපයුමක් ලබා දීම අධික වියදම් කටයුත්තක් වී ඇති බවයි. නමුත් මෙම ක්රමවේදය තුලුන් ඉතාමත් මුලික අඩුවියදම් සහිතව සියලු දෙනාටම නොමිලයේ අන්තර්ජාල සේවාවක් ලබා ගත හැකි බවයි.
ඔබට අවශ්යනම් ඔවුන්ගේ නිල වෙබ් අඩවියට ඇතුල් වී ඔබගේ ඊමේල් ලිපිනය ලබා දෙන්න. එවිට ඔවුන්ගේ ව්යාපෘතියේ වර්තමාන තත්වය ඔබට ඊමේල් මගින් දැනුම් දෙනු ලැබේ.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Outernet consists of a constellation of low-cost, miniature satellites in Low Earth Orbit. Each satellite receives data streams from a network of ground stations and transmits that data in a continuous loop until new content is received. In order to serve the widest possible audience, the entire constellation utilizes globally-accepted, standards-based protocols, such as DVB, Digital Radio Mondiale, and UDP-based WiFi multicasting.
Citizens from all over the world, through SMS and feature-phone apps, participate in building the information priority list. Users of Outernet's website also make suggestions for content to broadcast; lack of an Internet connection should not prevent anyone from learning about current events, trending topics, and innovative ideas.
