clean the USB port with small flat screwdriver rolled in tissue(use some surgical spirit) . my S2 had same issue, some times this issue comes due to wear of USB port Pins. clean it and let me know..

MTP is Media Transfer Protocol which is built in to windows so need to install anything. From the error message you have posted either your phone is fucked or your PCs USB port is fucked. Try another PC and if you do get the same error message then your phones USB is properly fucked.
