I've had this procedure (cholecystectomy). You can eat as you did before; however, you must be aware that bile continuously flows through the intestines. Immediately after the surgery, you may feel loose stools and a bit of burning pain in your anus area, but eventually, it will subside. but if you fasted for a day or two, you will feel a stomach ache that will last until you defecate, this is also a loose stool.

Usually yes, but in my case, it was chronic pancreatitis. the gallstones can block the bile duct, hence an acute pancreatitis attack could trigger

Yes, I'm fully recovered now, with no pain. Diarrhea or loose stools occur when you do long fasting as if you missed the whole three meals.

    Bro consult a gastroenterologist.
Thanks. I met a couple of them over the past two years, but nothing was found. Yesterday, I had an ultrasound again, and the only issue was grade one fatty liver. I believe it’s very common now. My liver enzymes are also good. It’s kind of a mystery now.

Small stones may not visible in those ultrasound scans, but when those pass through the bile duct, they can cause pain. If a large stone blocks the cystic duct or, worse, the bile duct, which can cause infection, inflammation and severe pain with pancreatitis. This is a life-threatening situation. So if pain occurs, it is better to admit to the nearest hospital. This is important because this is the best chance to find stones in the gallbladder and bile duct. Then the doctors may decide to perform the gallbladder removal surgery, which will be the best option.
