Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 PC may be revealed on April 22nd as an Epic Games Store exclusive

    H5Duo7u.jpg

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that a lot of PC gamers have been looking forward to. Rockstar has not announced anything yet, however, it’s almost certain that this third-person title will find its way on the PC. Still, and according to a rumour that surfaced recently, its PC release may dishearten those that boycott the Epic Games Store.

Now before continuing, note that this leak originates from 4Chan, therefore this could be fake so we strongly suggest taking it with a grain of salt. However, and the reason why we’re publishing this, the 4Chan Borderlands 3 leak was spot on so this could very well be true after all.

So, according to the leak, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be announced for the PC on April 22nd, and will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Not only that, but the game will target a July 9th release.

It’s worth pointing out that Take Two has already signed up a deal with Epic Games for releasing Borderlands 3 as a timed-exclusive on the Epic Games Store. However, it is said that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be permanently exclusive on Epic Games Store and not timed-exclusive.

The leaker claimed that Epic Games and Take-Two have signed a deal that will give the publisher full profit on any DLC that’s released for the game’s PC version.

Again, we strongly suggest taking everything you’ve read with a grain of salt. Still, and from a business perspective, it makes a lot of sense.

Ubisoft teases Assassin’s Creed Vikings for its upcoming AC 2020 game

    3aLwLSi.jpg

Ubisoft has included a pretty interesting teaser in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 about the next Assassin’s Creed game. According to a poster, which is located within the Potomac Event Center in Washington DC, the next AC game will be Vikings-themed.

In this poster, a Norse god or traveler is holding the Apple of Eden. We can also clearly see the word ‘Valhalla’ in that poster, hinting at a Vikings setting for the next Assassin’s Creed game.

This poster was discovered by YouTube’s ‘JorRaptor’ and Kotaku’s Jason Schreier claims that this is indeed the real deal. Schreier states that two independent sources familiar with the game told him that the next Assassin’s Creed game, which will come out in 2020, will feature Vikings.

Although we don’t know anything else about the Assassin’s Creed 2020 game, it’s at least good knowing its setting. Our guess is that this new AC game will be a cross-gen release so it will be interesting to see whether there will be big differences between the current-gen and the next-gen versions, and whether the PC version will be based on the current or the next-gen version.

Watch_Dogs 3 is reportedly under development, will be set in London

    N8DwPvy.jpg

It appears that the next part in the Watch_Dogs series, Watch_Dogs 3, is currently under development. According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, Ubisoft is indeed working on Watch_Dogs 3 and the game will be set in London.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any other information about this new Watch_Dogs game. According to rumours, Watch_Dogs 3 will be officially unveiled at E3 2019 and it may even release in 2019 (as always, take everything that is not coming from official sources with a grain of salt).

It is said that Watch_Dogs 3, and given its UK setting, will put more emphasis on hacking and less emphasis on combat with firearms and weapons. My guess is that we’ll also get new characters.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech

Mortal Kombat 11 releases later this month and its official Steam store page has been recently updated, indicating that this new fighting game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. As such, MK11 will be yet another fighting game – alongside Tekken 7 and SoulCalibur 6 – that will be using the controversial anti-tamper tech.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be powered by a custom version of Unreal Engine 3 and NetherRealm Studios promised that the PC version will be better than the one we got for Mortal Kombat X. QLOC will be handling Mortal Kombat 11 PC so hopefully there won’t be any performance conflicts/bugs with the inclusion of the Denuvo tech.

Now I know that some will be disheartened by the inclusion of Denuvo, however I’ve been recently re-playing Tekken 7 (which is still using Denuvo) and did not experience any major issues (there was at some point an issue with it, however it has already been addressed). So yeah, hopefully the implementation in Mortal Kombat 11 will be solid.

Mortal Kombat 11 releases on April 23rd!
