Ganja : 50 kilos of Cannabis found in Weligama

Police detected more than 50 kilograms of cannabis from a house in Weligama, a senior police official in the Matara division said.

He said that a suspect who was packing the cannabis into smaller packs was arrested and is due to be produced before a Magistrate.

The stocks from Thanamalvila was due to be sold mostly to fishermen who go out to sea from the area, police investigations revealed.
