A student cadet corp member from a school in Polgahawela passed away in her sleep while undergoing training at Rantembe Cadet training school on Thursday, Police said.
The 15 year old girl identified as Sandamali Basnayaka had taken her meals and gone to sleep, but had not been waken up on the following day. She was found dead by her fellow cadet members.
A police investigation is underway into the circumstances of the death while the postmortem is due to be held today.
