Yes I did the same mistake when Gota came to power.. instead of migrating to a Good stable county I opted to stay and do business here...worst decision ever,Im living with that guilt every day specially because I have a kid and family.
Sri Lanka is a massive community of sheep..they all have heard mentality, ultimately they will all end up getting slathered by corrupt businessmen and politicians.

If you had hopes for gota then thats on you. Everyone with an average iq knew gota wasn’t gonna do shit.

And its not Sri Lanka. Whole world has the heard mentality. Thats us homo sapiens. You could argue that the 3% that stood up first are the exception.

I didn't have any hope on Gota, I was one of few who voiced against electing Gota as president in here. Vast majority of people in this country saw Gota as the ultimate saviour and that says something about the average IQ of Sri Lankans.

Giving such a power means that you should be ready for that the imminent lash back. There is nothing that prevents you from the outcome.
Don't try to argue with me about their honorable intentions, pure hearts, blah blah. I don't care. It is proven that it is not wise to give any person or any party such a power.
