Google has covered sri lanka in google maps

Now you can enjoy free ridings and drivings without paper maps in greater colombo.. Your mobile will do huge role in this.. If you have N95 or navigator or gps enable device you can go for the free map service on google.. Some devices have external connectivity, such as n73 n70 in bluetooth gps reciever./LD-3W1 or similar.. Go to m.google.com and download google maps.. And use options for gps coverage.. Accuracy is maximum 6 meters and pin point shops and hospitals and schools etc.. In major cities.. Colombo has almost covered.. Wattala to ja ela has covered, and it also has private roads also.. I don't know about legal offence of using GPS in sri lanka.. But europe and america it's a cheap and reliable thing.. May be sri lanka restricted, this.. But n95 has this in it's standard options.. So nothing to worry.. Give me your feedbacks. Thank you..

Additional details

By the way I forgot to mentioned, that google maps requied data connection to download maps. So I prefer mobite 50Mb for Rs.25plus vat package or any other unlimited data connection.. And google maps also work without GPS, in cellular Id mode. It works with cell tower.

for google maps you dont need GPS but you need GPRS connection.

im using google maps with my omnia cuz intergrated GPS z kinda sucks in omnia. btw with ma data connection google maps working like a charm.
