Well its a good idea but doesn't suite our country.
every application is a web application so you must have internet connection whenever you use the chrome OS.
As you know the internet connections in SriLanka sucks pretty bad for this to become a reality for the majority of the Srilankans.
I don't think Chorme will be a hit. Linux Splashtops are way better in many ways.

No its not. I think it is GOS (good OS)

chrome OS doesnt have any installable download yet. You have to compile the source to get it running.

But there is a version that you can use on the virtualbox
