old ones is not issued now..
well if u have a old one if its light vehicle it want expire..
but i heard that they are gona bring a new rule so that all people who have the old license will have to take the new one..

but the new ones recodniced worldwide like when SL students go to aussi they dont need a aussi licence or a international licence .. for a students Sl licence is valied there.. that's y the new licence is made to a standard and linked to a world wide database...
