from sri lanka it is said anybody can controll the whole indian ocean ..
from the olden days sl was a major ship destination
but when the hambatota harbour get built very soon
it will attarct huge amount of ships to sri lanka​

yea remember they tried to run the Sethu Samudram Project. which would be a shi^^^^^ problem for sri lankan economy and environment. BCoz it would clear the sand barrier in Mannar. Luckily Nature it self taught a lessonm to them. the sand barrier got filled by itselt despite of the digging.

Yes but if the Sethu samudram Project was a success their plan was to direct major ships to an South indian port, making colombo and hambanthota ports less usefull, coz indian market is economically better to deal with, even ships had to go a bit more miles. Luckily now we have our chance, we just need to make this the best port in Asia. as I think the Colombo Harbor is one of the best harbors in Asia.
