im 24 years old male from Iran . i like your country & wanna spend a part of my life in Sri Lanka !
we have lots of shared point in our cultur :x
i wanna to come to Apiit & study Software engineering .
i have a few question :
is Colombo have any high speed internet provider ? (what is method & how much price ?)
what is the language of Apiit university ?
how about accommodation ? (place & price )
how is Behavior of people with foreign student ?
what things i must know before i come ?
for the last thing :
how about Colombo security ?

I Dunno Much about Apiit But I think They Use English as a Teaching Language
Colombo have fast Internet Providers
If You are Thinking Not Downloading Heavily And Uses a Laptop I suggest you use airtell (3.5mbps/Real Speed 300kbps)
or Dialog Wimax
If You Download Heavily You Might want to get SLT Broadband But U have to use it on a Desktop PC (512Kbps/Real Speed=54kbps)(2mb/realSpeed=200kbps)
People are Very Friendly Do not Worry About that
hmm About the Security......Because of The Fighting in North Colombo has Threats of Suicide Bombing......But Security measures are taken to avoid that..
But Not to Worry Srilankan army will perish the terrorist From Srilanka Soon!!! That's For Sure..

Accommodation is upto you. Do you require A/C? There are full homes for rent for $300/month roughly Rs30,000-Rs,40,000 for 3 bedroom house with A/C..My info maybe outdated.

Security in colombo is high carry your passport and generally with any big city try and fit in. Colombo is pretty upbeat and face paced. Nightlife is good.

It all depends on wherre your staying. Which part of Colombo?
