I recently bought a NFS Most Wanted DVD. It wasn't the DVD version but the images of the CDs copied to a DVD. Instructions were to mount the images by Daemon Tools and Install.
But when I tried to mount the images I get a "No Data on the file" error. So I tried copying the images to the Hard Disk. But when I try to copy I get a "Cannot Copy. Data Error".

I took it back to the DVD store but it worked fine there.

Why is the DVD not working in my computer.

My DVD ROM is a Compaq DVD ROM. Other DVDs are working fine in it. I tried cleaning it but didn't help.

The Error message I'm getting while trying to copy the file is "cannot copy file: Data error (cycle redundancy check) "

anyone know what it means?

My DVD ROM is abut 1 year old.
its because ur DVD rom.. normally there are regions.. so sometimes those regions are not match. so sometimes u can get errors like that. then the DVD cant copy or play. but it shows that it read. but when u copy or install u cant. anyway. try changing a different DVD. coz as u saying u cant change the DVD rom. so try to change the DVD

Windows usually gives up after a small number of retries when it find a hard to read sector. U can use UltraISO to extract the ISO image of the disc to the hard disk. You can ask it not to skip bad sectors. It will retry until it reads a sector. It might work; I might not. Worth a try. Now that you can't do anything about the DVD, you can wash it with water and clean with soft cloth so it doesn't scratch the disc. It might help UltraISO to read better. I'm telling from experience :)
