help needed - xp setup

Mage pc eka boot wenne ne..
it says ".....config/system file missing or corrupted"
i have xp sp2 bottable CD.. dnt knw how 2 repair with it..
wen try to reinstall xp it stuck in "searching previous versions of windows"

can somebody give some help on dis

oyage langa Hiren boot cd 1 tiyenawada.

may be ur SP2 CD currupted

Boot from xp cd
select repair option
At the command prompt type,

fixboot

Press ENTER

you may also try this command too

chkdsk /f /r

then type exit

restart the computer in normal way
