The games in Tabletop Games' Micro Warfare Series were intended to be played directly on the game table (without a mapboard) using rules concepts from traditional miniatures wargaming.
The games offer an affordable alternative to the miniatures hobby in that they use un-cut cardstock counters for the game units. The Micro Warfare Series pre-dated GDW Games' successful (and controversial) System 7 Napoleonics which used a similar design concept.
These were all produced in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
