ඔවු මචන්, මමත් සිවික් එකක් තමා ලයින් කරන් ඉන්නෙ, ඒත් ගිය ආන්ඩුවෙන් ගහපු බද්ද මේ ආන්ඩුවෙන් අයින් කරයි කියල පොඩ්ඩක් බලන් හිටියෙ, තාම නෑ.. ඒත් දැන් මගෙත් ඔලුව වෙනස් වෙලා තියෙන්නෙ හයිබ්රිඩ් එකකටම යනවද කියල, ප්රියස් එකකට ගියානම් හොදයි කියලත් හිතෙනව ඒකෙ 20km කරනව නෙහ් 1ලීටර් එකකට. බොහෝ විට ජනවාරි වෙද්දි මොකක්ම හරි කරනවා

I'm not talking about the fuel consumption here. join to their fb club and see the common issues for CIVIC. most of them are below 50k.

I have a Civic Sedan
now 19500km done
upto now overall average 11kmpl
basically i drive to work & from work in colombo traffic ( Thalawathugoda to Borella )
My best reading is 17.3kmpl, thats from colombo to katharagama (Highway) with 4 people onboard with A/C on but driven very carefully.
& for the people who say this is not realistic, i owned a Honda grace previously so I know how to drive it to achieve a good fuel average.
& also this is a one time thing, if u plan to buy a civic dont think of fuel consumption, buy that for the better options, better looks & better handling. if u want good fuel consumption consider something like a premio

If your major concern is fuel economy, do not consider 1l turbo cars or crossovers. You never get hybrid like fuel economy from these vehicles.
However, if you drive very carefully you can achieve a good fuel economy but these cars have healthy torque and decent power and very good handling specially in the corners. Even though you try to drive very carefully, your inner beast never let it and you always want the aggressive drive and the fun associated with these cars.
Once tried the careful driving (it is not a Civic, a different heavier, car with 1l turbo engine) and it achieved around 18km/l from Kottawa to Hambantota, mixed driving in highway and normal road to hambantota from Matara but drive was not that enjoyable.
On the way, had some fun and fuel economy was around 12km/l
