Airtel is finally connected.

Dial any 075 number from your telephone and listen to the recording played, that is not played by your operator.

For example, dial 0755123456, it would say " Oba Emathoo Ankaya Bhawithaye Nometha ", followed by Tamil and English versions.

Now dial 0757123456, it would pay " Oba Emathoo Ankaya WERADIYA ".

It seems like 0757 would be their first batch of numbers. That is just the natural choice, if I was the CEO, I would have done the same.

However, coverage seems to be a critical issue, not even the city of Gampaha has not yet been covered.

Yes, 075.

Their officers have 0755 numbers, however calling is useless, they pick up lightning fast. Just lost my four rupees.

Guys, if the numbers are connected, they must have a call centre already set up too. Does anyone know the number ?
Must be an easy to remember number no.. Something like 0755111222..

Their SMS centre works too, but couldn't find the number since my S60 doesn't show it..

Sorry buddy.. That is a regulation imposed by the government.. So no network can change it, although both Dialog and Mobitel would like to offer them at the usual rate..

Since the government probably believe that we should follow India's footsteps ( the reason why they increased them ) , there's no solution..
