Sri Lanka is a paradise having all the natural wonders. Hot springs or geysers are found in three areas, two sites namely Kinniya in Trinco and Mahapelessa are in the Eastern province while the other site is located at Madunagala..

I could not find good images on google, if u people have any please upload here.

These waters have different mineral composition and for ages people have used it as a cure for different ailments (of course its not magic, just chemistry)

i have been to madunagala once few years back. those days there was no such thing i noticed. i don't think there is a chance for DIYASEVELA to cultivate in that hot atmosphere. i have no much knowledge on that. what i saw i'm telling you. those days madunagala was free entrance. but recently they(taking care ppl) have make a ticket for each rs. 30/=

    thanx for your info.

Machan i've been to two places.. jaffna and mahawa .. in jaffna one when we got there it was controlled by LTTE and they even charged for viewing that!! it was the peace talk time;) it was too crouded and could't see any deatils..
But the mahaoya one was isolated and ive been there two times...
there are 7 springs... and in only one u can have a bath...
others are too hot and u can see the bubles are coming out and even in some hot steam even goes off...
there are soo called "diya sewala" in almons all f them..
and the smell is like one which will be coming out f somethnig rotten...
that's becoz of Sulpher i guess!!!
and ppl around that place used have a bath in them saying that it has some power to cure diseases....( dermat diseases i guess.... coz f sulpher..)
