how 2 get security tab.....

i converted my c drive 2 NTFS from FAT........but i dont get the security tab in the PROPERTIES box....does any one know how 2 get it.....

i also have da same problem. so i have one drive in FAT just in case if i need it. im using XP service pack 2. does n e of u guys know wats da problem??

Try this \/

1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
• Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

• Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.

2. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, clear Use simple file sharing.

*your hard drive must be formatted NTFS for this tab to show up.

Do as dpg said. It should work. It is disabled by default in XP, unlike Windows 2000, 2003 and Vista.

In XP, the security tab is not visible by default. You have to uncheck that last option in Folder Options.
