Usually I charge it when it says batt low. Then charge it until it's fully charged.

Have 2 chargers. 1 at home and another one in my laptop bag - a battery operated charger which gives about 2 - 3hrs of talk time batt power in case of an emergency.
    2-3 talk tym madi ne:P:P:P

    Explain... why?
    As per this article,
    The "Memory Effect"

"Memory Effect" is a condition of reduced battery performance (and eventual failure) due to a battery only using those cells that are fully discharged and charged on a regular basis. In other words, if on a regular basis a NiCd or NiMH battery is only partially discharged before being recharged, it " forgets" that it has usable capacity to further discharge all the way down. The result is degraded battery performance and shorter battery life because the battery is using less than it's true full capacity. Lithium-ion batteries do not develop the "memory effect". NiMH batteries, while considerably better than their NiCd counterparts, are prone to developing "memory effect." However, proper care and conditioning over the life of a NiMH battery will significantly reduce the potential negative impacts.

hey no one uses NiCd or NiMH batteries these days haa, almost all are Lithium Iron or Lithium Polymer, soo dont worry about "Memory Effect"
    :) :) :)
Is this for a fact? I mean, there is no such charging effect? Or, are you just referring to the article?

well normally batt life depends on how many times you charge it.
So if you charge it every time you see 1 or 2 blocks missing from that batt level meter, you not gonna keep your batt long in top condition.

Other than unavoidable circumstances wait until phone says batt low and then fully charge it non stop. Better if you can do that while the phone is off.

And you can not trust that batt level indicator too. If you charge and stop before its fully charged or charge when therez enough power remain on the battery, then charging cycles can go wrong and indicators will show wrong info.
As an example it takes long to miss the first block when its fully charged but after that other blocks are going down very fast.

If thats the case drain it until the phone turn off by it self. And charge it back to full to recover the cycle. But don't do that batt drain process very often.

Y is it better to turn off n charge?:)

No it is not best for the phone. (It is just like cutting power to a PC :P)
It is best for the battery maybe. I don't know that.
