    1.insert xp cd in your cd drive.
    2.restart machine.
    3.after loading windows setup press R to get recovery console.
    4.after few seconds press 1
    5.Then type following codes without any mistakes.

    COPY_I:\i386\NTLDR_C: (press enter)
    COPY_I:\i386\NTDETECT.COM_C: (press enter)
    "FIXBOOT" (press enter)
    "Y"
    then type "EXIT"
    note:
    " _" mean is SPACE
    "
    I" mean is your cd rom letter.
    make sure caps lock on your key board

    1.Put your original Windows XP CD into the cd drive of your computer.
    Restart your computer and press any key to boot from the cd.

    2.A blue screen will appear and you are on your way..
    You may need to press F8 to agree to the Windows Setup agreement.

    3.After that the setup options will appear .
    Do not press ENTER as it will start installing Windows from scratch and you will loose all of your data on your hard drive.

    4.Press the letter R on your keyboard to enter the Recovery Console.
    When Recovery Console starts you will have to enter the number that corresponds with the installation you want to repair.

    5.Enter your Administrator password for that windows installation. You must enter an admin password here and if you do not, you cannot continue.

    6.At the Recovery Console command prompt, type fixmbr.
    You will be asked to confirm that you want to do this by pressing the Y key for yes.
    Now your Master Boot record will be fixed.
