What is the DHTML and XHTML???

DHTML stands for Dynamic HTML.
DHTML is NOT a language or a web standard.
DHTML is a TERM used to describe the technologies used to make web pages dynamic and interactive.
To most people DHTML means the combination of HTML, JavaScript, DOM, and CSS.
According to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C):
"Dynamic HTML is a term used by some vendors to describe the combination of HTML, style sheets and scripts that allows documents to be animated."

  • XHTML stands for EXtensible HyperText Markup Language
  • XHTML is almost identical to HTML 4.01
  • XHTML is a stricter and cleaner version of HTML
  • XHTML is HTML defined as an XML application
The most important differences between HTML and XHTML

  • XHTML elements must be properly nested
  • XHTML elements must always be closed
  • XHTML elements must be in lowercase
  • XHTML documents must have one root element
Hope this helps...

    # XHTML stands for EXtensible HyperText Markup Language
    # XHTML is almost identical to HTML 4.01
    # XHTML is a stricter and cleaner version of HTML
    # XHTML is HTML defined as an XML application

    Example

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>This is bad HTML</title>
    <body>
    <h1>Bad HTML
    </body>

    will work fine on your browser even it is not obey the HTML rules

    XML is a markup language where everything must be marked up correctly, which results in "well-formed" documents.

    now today browsers work on mobile phones PCs laptops on tablet PCs so some times if you use not properly codes then result may be worst so that's why we want XHTML , XML is designed to describe data, and HTML is designed to display data so now you got the different macho

    XML + HTML combine got XHTML ! (HTML 4.01 known as XHTML)
