Sarath Fonseka has to clean up the UNP which is involved in a numerous corrupt activities prior to his talking about corruption in other political parties, the Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services Minister Maithreepala Sirisena said.

"UNP is the party which is liable for so many corruptions. Therefore, Fonseka has to clean up the UNP first" he said at a press briefing held in Colombo yesterday.

Fonseka is standing on a mountain of garbage more like the Bloemendhal garbage dump site since the UNP is liable for many corruptions. Fonseka is giving various promises day by day at the election meetings. But those promises are hard to fulfil. A person who will never come to power can give any number of promises. At the 1977 general election late President J.R. Jayewardene promised to give eight pounds of grains for each citizen per week. However the promise was never fulfilled, Sirisena added.

all the money hungry corrupt fellows of UNP are now in SLFP...so UNP is clean already...It's the SLFP which needs an overhaul drastically to get rid of ppl like Mervin & Basil
