I have a Toshiba laptop. It has be used for a few years. And now when i run a video game or something others, the laptop overheats and shuts down. A cooling base with fan cannot prevent my laptop. I'm worried there may be an internal problem or frame rate problem. Tell me how to fix it.

Easiest to try is the clean up the fan vents. If it doesn't fix it, Remove the fan assembly, clean and reseat it with new and proper thermal compound.
