Bomb targeting Panadura-Colombo train, neighbouring crowd averts disaster

The Police have confirmed that the blast had targeted the Panadura-Colombo office train. According to reports the suspect was seen carrying the bomb by the people from the surrounding area. When the crowd noticed the suspect bomber they had shouted upon which he had thrown the bomb at the railway track and fled. The train had just passed by when the blast occurred and it is alleged that he had intended to target the second carriage.
